Feb. 22, 2-4 p.m., Book Club Meeting with the Compassionate Women of St. Augustine, who chose Hanna as their February read. We'll be celebrating Hanna's birthday!
March 21, 12-3 p.m., The Inspirational Women in Literature, Media, and Journalism Awards, The Writer's Center, 4508 Walsh St, Bethesda, MD. I'll be receiving a Literature award and speaking briefly with other winners. This event benefits three nonprofit agencies for women.

I'll be part of a panel with the following authors: Mike Konopacki, Torn, his book of labor cartoons coauthored with Gary Huck; Hugh Lake, My Journey to Becoming, memoir; and Bernie MacDonald, Missing You, a story about Alzheimer's and its impact. Dec. 1, St. Augustine Barnes & Noble Bookfair on US 1 South from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. I'll be appearing with other local writers to benefit the wonderful organization Learn to Read of St. John's County, Inc. Hanna will be available and a portion of the sales goes to LTR. So bring your kids, come meet your local authors, and get some gifts for the holiday and benefit a good cause at the same time!
